Who Are We?

Cake or Dice is a Community Board Game Cafe 

based in the city centre of Dundee.

We have a variety of Board Games available to play in the cafe and we also run a wide lots of activities, workshops and events.

We offer delicious food, with gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options and stock soy, almond and oat milk for drinks, including our milkshakes.

Our cakes are supplied by local bakers, with vegan and gluten free cake options too!

How does it work?

We have a large selection of card games and board games in store in our bard game library. The games are pay to play, with tokens available at the counter for £1 each. Games are charged by tokens, regardless of the number of people playing.

We have split our games library in to four different coloured categories:

              Red Games cost no tokens as they are always free to play.

              Green Games cost 2 tokens to play (£2). These are light games 

such as Codenames and Patchwork.

             Blue Games cost 4 tokens to play (£4). These include longer games such as Catan and Carcassonne.

          Yellow Games cost 6 tokens to play (£6). These include long play games such as Scythe and Dune.

Put your tokens in our Plinko board and try your luck - if they land in a yellow space you win your token back to use another time!
